Several facilities to be put into operation in Iran's Anzali Free Trade Zone

As many as 18 manufacturing enterprises, port infrastructure, and tourism facilities will be put into operation in the Anzali Free Trade Zone in the Gilan Province (northern Iran), Chairman of the Anzali Free Trade Zone Organization of Iran, Mohammad Vali Ruzbehan said, Trend reports citing the zone’s website.

The chairman emphasized that the private sector has invested 8.17 trillion rials (about $194 million) in these facilities and about 1,200 people will be employed with the launch of these facilities.

He added that 5 facilities will be put into operation in the Caspian port. These facilities include platform No. 13, a 5,000-square-meter covered warehouse around it, and more. A total of 2.17 trillion rials (about $51.6 million) has been spent on these facilities. And 360 people will be employed with the launch of these facilities.

According to Ruzbehan, Block B with 256 apartments of the Tavous residential complex will be put into operation. About 4.5 trillion rials (about $107 million) has been spent on the launch of these facilities. And 265 will be employed.

The chairman noted that furthermore, two residential complexes will be launched with a spending of 750 billion rials (about $17.8 million). About 112 people will be employed in these complexes.

“At the same time, 10 industrial and manufacturing enterprises will be put into operation in the Anzali Free Trade Zone. In total, 755 billion rials (about $18 million) have been spent on these enterprises. And 456 people will be employed,” he said.
