Volume of vegetable oil imported by Turkmenistan from EAEU revealed

A large volume of vegetable oils was exported to Turkmenistan from the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) from January through November 2020, Trend reports, citing statistical data of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

The total volume of olive oil exported to Turkmenistan was 2.7 tons, palm oil - 413.9 tons, which is 3 times more than the export of similar products in the same period year earlier, sunflower oil - 31,585 tons (an increase of 2.4 times).

The total amount of olive oil exported to Turkmenistan was $6,480, palm oil - $381,128, which is 3.2 times more than the number of exports of similar products in the same period year earlier, sunflower oil-$28.9 million (an increase of 2.4 times).

Sunflower and palm oil were exported to Turkmenistan from Kazakhstan and Russia, while olive oil was exported only from Russia.

Soybean oil was also exported to Turkmenistan during this period. According to statistics, the only exporter of soybean oil to Turkmenistan among the EAEU countries in the mentioned period was Belarus.

Thus, Belarus exported 117.24 tons of soybean oil to Turkmenistan for a total amount of $102,851.
