Iran reveals production volume of several products

Iran produced 18 types of products in the industrial and mining sectors during the 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020 - January 20, 2021), Trend reports citing the statistics of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.

So, the production of 12 products increased, while that of 6 products decreased.

According to the statistics, the production of washing powder increased by 0.3 percent within 10 months, compared to the same period last Iranian year and amounted to 526,000 tons.

"Over 10 months, the production of car tire increased by 22.2 percent to 229,000 tons. While the medicines production increased by 0.5 percent to 40.7 million units," the statistics said.

In addition, 50.7 million tons of petrochemical products were produced in Iran during the reporting period. This is an increase of 7.9 percent compared the same period last Iranian year, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, the production of cardboard increased by 2 percent to 449,000 tons in 10 months, DSP (Particle board) - by 8.9 percent to 658,000 square meters, fiber - by 3.9 percent to 1.32 million tons, industrial oil - by 7.5 percent to 555,000 tons, duda - by 17.4 percent to 116,000 tons, and footwear - by 1.5 percent to 113 million pairs.

"Furthermore, the production of acrylic fibers increased by 554 percent to 4,900 tons, various threads - by 20.9 percent to 230,000 tons within ten months," the statistics said.

However, the production of polystyrene fibers decreased by 4.4 percent to 190,000 tons, and filament yarn - by 10.1 percent to 223,000 tons over the 10 months, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, at the same time, the production of vegetable oil decreased by 18.6 percent to 1.21 million tons, various paper - by 3.4 percent to 839,000 tons, insecticides - by 13.7 percent to 27,200 tons, leather - by 13.5 percent to 3.09 million square meters.
