The iron ore concentrate production of ten major Iranian companies increased by 4 percent during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through January 19, 2021) compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
Over the reporting period, these companies produced 40.8 million tons of iron ore concentrate. This figure was 39.3 million tons in the same period last Iranian year, according to the report.
"So, the Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company produced 13.8 million tons of iron ore concentrate, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company - 9.53 million tons, Middle East Mines Industries Development Holding Company (MIDHCO) - 5.3 million tons, Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company – 3.4 million tons, Central Iron Ore Company of Iran - 3.48 million tons," the report said.
In addition, Sanabad Inclusive Development Industrial and Mining Company produced 1.83 million tons of iron ore concentrate, Opal Parsian Sangan Industrial and Mining Company – 1.79 million tons, Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company – 1.09 million tons, Jalalabad Iron Ore Complex – 306,000 tons and Sangan Mining Industries Company – 172,000 tons over 10 months of the current Iranian year, the report said.
According to the report, at the same time, these companies transported 15.4 million tons of iron ore concentrate to the relevant manufacturing companies in 10 months. This is a decrease of 8 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, this figure amounted to 16.7 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.
“The production of these companies amounted to 4.09 million tons in the 10th month of the current Iranian year (December 21, 2020 through January 19, 2021). This is an increase of 5 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. While in the same month last Iranian year, 3.9 million tons of iron ore concentrate were produced,” the report said.
Furthermore, 1.67 million tons of iron ore concentrate were transported to the relevant manufacturing companies in 10th month. This is a decrease of 2 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year. So, 1.71 million tons of iron ore concentrate were transported in the same month last Iranian year, the report said.
Within 10 months, the 10 companies produced 870,000 tons of iron ore pellets. This is a 48-percent decrease compared to the same period last Iranian year. Thus, 1.68 million tons of iron ore pellets were produced in the same period last Iranian year, according to the report.
