Georgian exports of knitwear to Turkey down

Georgia exported 132.7 tons of knitted goods to Turkey for a total amount of $3.30 million in January 2021, Trend reports referring to Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat).

During the January last year, 95.2 tons of knitted goods totaling $3 million were exported from Georgia to Turkey.

In January 2021, Georgia exported 87.6 tons of men's or boys' suits, ensembles, trousers, knitted or crocheted goods, to Turkey for a total amount of $2.26 million.

In turn, in the reporting period, Georgia imported 158.1 tons of other made up articles, including dress patterns from Turkey for a total amount of $4.07 million.

In January 2021, 111.2 tons of other made up textile articles, including dress patterns were imported by Georgia from Turkey for a total of $2.74 million.

In January 2021, total imports from Turkey to Georgia amounted to $92,880 million. In turn, Georgia exported goods worth $21,427 million to Turkey.

The foreign trade turnover of Georgia with Turkey in the reporting period exceeded $114.308 million, which is 15 percent of Georgia's total trade turnover.
