Iran's ISOICO repairs oil tanker

Iran Shipbuilding & Offshore Industries Complex Company (ISOICO) repaired Iran's SANAN oil tanker and handed it over to the National Iranian Tanker Company over the past day, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

According to the report, the weight of the tanker is 100,000 tons, length - 274 meters, wide - 48 meters and draft - 21.5 meters. And this tanker is one of the main ships of the National Iranian Oil Tanker Company.

"The main engine has been overhauled, generators, electric motors, taps, pumps, pipes have been repaired or replaced," the report said.

The oil tanker was repaired in 25 days and $1 million worth of funds were saved in result, the report said.

According to the report, the ISOICO repaired a large-scale ship for the first time in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2019 through March 19, 2020). Thus, the building of large-scale ships has been launched in Iran.

Reportedly, Iran Shipbuilding & Offshore Industries Complex Company (ISOICO) is located on 1,100 hectares of land in the Bandar Abbas County of Hormozgan Province (southern Iran).
