Iran and China trade predicted to double - Chamber of Commerce

TEHRAN, Iran, June 22

It has been predicted that trade between Iran and China would double compare to 2020 if sanctions are lifted, said the head of Iran-China Joint Chamber of Commerce Majidreza Hariri, Trend reports via ILNA.

"The total transaction between the two countries in 2020 was around $16 billion, but there is a capacity to increase it to $30 billion," said Hariri.

"Iran and China trade includes non-oil and oil, the statistics about oil export are confidential, in non-oil sector Iran exported one fourth of it's non-oil commodities to China," he said.

"Following the Vienna negotiations and possible lifting of oil sanctions, it is predicted that the volume of trade between the two countries would change considerably, compared to 2020," he said.
