Iran's exports grow in value, volume - Iran Customs Administration

The exports of Iran increased by 69 percent in terms of value and 38 percent in terms of volume during the first three months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through June 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director General of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Mehdi Mirashrafi said, Trend reports citing the administration.

According to Mirashrafi, Iran exported 30 million tons of goods worth $10.7 billion over the 3 months.

Mirashrafi added that Iran exported 7.1 million tons of goods worth $3.1 billion to China, 9.6 million tons worth $2.3 billion to Iraq and 3.4 million tons worth $1.3 billion to the UAE in three months.

The director general emphasized that Iran also exported 663,000 tons of goods worth $595 million to Turkey and 1.4 million tons worth $570 million to Afghanistan within the mentioned period.

“Iran's trade turnover amounted to 38.4 million tons worth $20.9 billion in the first three months of the current Iranian. The trade turnover increased by 50 percent in terms of value and 25 percent in terms of volume compared to the same period last Iranian year. In other words, it has increased by about $7 billion in terms of value and 7.7 million tons in terms of volume,” he noted.
