The value of Iran's iron and steel products export amounted to $4.5 billion, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2021), the Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing the administration.
According to Latifi, the exports increased by $800 million in terms of value, compared to the last Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021).
The spokesman added that iron and steel products export accounted for 14.5 percent of Iran's total exports in terms of value for 8 months.
“Meanwhile, in the last Iranian year, the value of Iran’s exports of steel and iron products amounted to $3.73 billion,” he said.
Latifi noted that Iran exported $1.14 billion worth of semi-finished iron products, $1.07 billion worth of steel and iron ingots, and $850 million worth of iron rods in the first eight months of the current Iranian year.
As reported, Iran exported 83.7 million tons of goods worth $31.1 billion during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2021).
The exports increased by 42 percent in value and 10.5 percent, in volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
