BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 29. Turkey increased steel exports to the US by 5.1 times in March 2022, compared to the same month in 2021, to $10.4 million, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend.
According to the ministry, Turkey exported steel to the US in the amount of $372.8 million in 1Q2022, which is 2 times more than in the same period in 2021.
Turkey exported $2.2 billion worth of steel to world markets in March 2022, up 48.9 percent from the same month in 2021.
"Turkey totally exported steel to world markets in the amount of $5.6 billion in 1Q2022, which is 51 percent more than in the same period in 2021," the ministry said.
Turkey has exported a total of $24.2 billion worth of steel over the past 12 months (from March 2021 through March 2022).
Turkey exported steel worth $22.3 billion to world markets last year.
