BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 30. Iran’s non-oil exports from Isfahan Province (central Iran), amounted to 821,000 tons worth $546 million, during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2022), Director General for Isfahan Province Customs Office, Rasoul Kuhestani told reporters, Trend reports citing IRNA.

Kuhestani said that the exports increased by 8 percent in value, while did not change in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“Within 5 months, Iran mainly exported iron and steel products worth $223 million, petrochemical products worth $94 million, dairy products worth $47 million, factory carpets worth $37 million, and hand-made carpets worth $1.5 million from Isfahan Province,” he added.

The official noted that the province's goods for the reporting period were exported to 80 countries, including to Iraq worth $207 million, to Pakistan worth $104 million, to Türkiye worth $45 million and to Afghanistan worth $30 million.

“In addition, 42,300 tons of products worth $233 million were imported to the province in 5 months. The imports increased by 1 percent in value, while did not change in volume compared to the same period of last Iranian year,” Kuhestani pointed out.

According to the director general, technical equipment, electrical equipment, trucks and raw materials were imported to the province over five months.

Kuhestani also pointed out that Isfahan Province imported goods from 44 countries, including from China worth $70 million, from South Korea worth $44 million, from Türkiye worth $33 million, from Germany worth $18 million and from Italy worth $16 million.

Kuhestani noted that the province’s customs revenues for 5 months amounted to 14 trillion rials (about $333 million), which is an increase of 74 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
