Iran seeks to develop trade ties with Pakistan

TEHRAN, Iran, November 3. Iran Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) and Tehran Chamber of Commerce are looking to develop cooperation to boost trade with Pakistan, Trend reports citing IRNA.

Alireza PeymanPak, the head of the TPO discussed the cooperation between Iran’s public and private sectors for trade with Pakistan in a meeting with the chairman of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce Masoud Khansari.

For his part, the head of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce underlined the private sector’s capacity to promote commercial interaction with Pakistan and the necessity to form working groups for working out a plan.

Iran has exported $561 million worth or commodities to Pakistan and imported $494 million worth of goods during the first six months of the current Iranian year (started March 21,2022).

Pakistan ranks as one of the top ten destination markets for Iran's exports.
