BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 7. Iran’s export of non-oil products to Iraq through the Parvizkhan customs of the Kermanshah Province (western Iran), increased by 5 percent in value and 4 percent in volume, during the first month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2023), compared to the same month in the last year, Director General of the Parvizkhan border checkpoint Ghasem Motallebi told IRNA, Trend reports.
“In total, Iran exported 220,000 tons of goods worth $90 million to Iraq through the Parvizkhan customs in 1st month,” he said.
According to Motallebi, fruits and vegetables, dairy products, biscuits, metal products, rubber products, ceramics and construction materials were the main goods exported to Iraq via the mentioned customs.
The director general also noted that Iran’s overall foreign trade turnover through Parvizkhan customs amounted to 405,000 tons worth $353 million in the first month.
Motallebi added that currently, more than 1,000 trucks cross through Parvizkhan customs per day.
Meanwhile, Iran exported a total of 16.9 million tons of non-oil products worth $6.49 billion to Iraq through its land border customs for the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023).
Overall, Iran exported about 10.5 million tons of non-oil products worth approximately $3.65 billion for the first month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2023).
This is a decrease of 12.9 percent in value, while an increase of 17.7 percent in volume compared to the same month in the last year.
