Iran boosts non-oil exports to Iraq via Parvizkhan customs

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 25. The value of Iran’s non-oil exports to Iraq through the Parvizkhan customs of the Kermanshah Province (western Iran), increased by 23 percent, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023), compared to the same period in the last year, Director General of the Parvizkhan Customs Office, Ghasem Motallebi said, Trend reports.

Motallebi noted that overall, 457,000 tons of non-oil products worth $186 million were exported to Iraq through the Parvizkhan customs in 2 months.

The director general added that fruits and vegetables, dairy products, rubber products, ceramics and construction materials were the main goods exported to Iraq via the mentioned customs.

The customs official also said that Iran’s total foreign trade turnover through Parvizkhan customs for the reporting period amounted to 868,000 tons worth $735 million.

Meanwhile, Iran exported approximately 16.9 million tons of non-oil products worth $6.49 billion to Iraq through its land border customs for the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023). The share of the customs of Kermanshah Province in Iran's export of non-oil products to Iraq was 6.77 million tons worth $2.67 billion.
