BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 21. The activity of 65 industrial enterprises was resumed in Iran’s Qom Province in the north of the country, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), Chairman of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Qom Province Akbar Abdali said, Trend reports.
According to Abdali, a total of 800 people were provided with jobs by the resuming the activity of the mentioned industrial enterprises. In this regard, 7 trillion rials (about $167 million) was spent.
“In addition, 6 new industrial enterprises were put into use in Iran’s Qom Province for the last year. In total, 23.2 trillion rials (about $552 million) was spent in this direction and 300 people were employed,” the chairman said.
Last year, 124 industrial enterprises were licensed in the province to be set up. For the establishment of these enterprises, overall 35 trillion rials (about $833 million) is to be spent. And as a result, 3,688 people are estimated to be employed, Abdali noted.
Meanwhile, the activity of 1,751 industrial and manufacturing enterprises was resumed in Iran within the last Iranian year. Of them, 1,298 enterprises are located in industrial parks, while 453 enterprises are located outside.
