BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 1. Iran exported 67.7 million tons of non-oil products worth $24.1 billion in the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2023), Director General of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Mohammad Rezvanifar said, Trend reports.
Rezvanifar said that Iran’s non-oil exports for the reporting period rose by 2.62 percent in value, while they fell by 29 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
“The country’s main exported non-oil products were liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) worth $2.2 billion, liquid propane worth $1.6 billion, liquid butane worth $1.2 billion,” he added.
The director general also noted that Iran exported non-oil products worth $6.9 billion to China, $4.5 billion to Iraq, $3 billion to the UAE, $2.4 billion to Türkiye, and $1.1 billion to India within the specified period.
Regarding Iran’s total non-oil trade turnover, the director general pointed out that the trade turnover reached 85.3 million tons worth about $54.6 billion for 6 months.
Iran's non-oil exports exclude only crude oil, mazut, and white oil. Due to imposed sanctions, Iran cannot freely export the mentioned products. That’s why it attaches importance to the export of non-oil products.
