Tender Under Oguz-Gabala-Baku Water Pipeline Construction Project Announced

Azersu РћРђРћ announced the tender for design, purchase and construction of a water collector unit in Oguz-Gabala zone under the project for installation of Oguz-Gabala-Baku Water Pipeline. Trend reports the tender stipulates drilling and equipping 100 artesian wells along the 35km long water line, provision with pumps, lines and materials for water transportation to the reservoir.

All whom this may concern should pay an amount of 3,000 AZN or $3.5k. The tender bids will be received until October 17. The tender procedure is held 500PM, October 17.

The water will be supplied to Baku via this pipeline at a rate 3 m2 a second.

The production reserve of subsurface waters in this area is nearly 15 m3/sec.

The pipeline will be running from reservoir in Oguz-Gabala area through Charkhana, Geychay, Agsu, Udullu. The constriction operations are commenced let this year and completed in 2008.

The order on installing the water pipeline from Oguz-Gabala to improve Baku city water supply was signed by President Heydar Aliyev in 2002. In this respect, Azersu РђРћ performed operations to estimate water resources, while Ecology Ministry performed hydrogeological studies.

On September 1, 2005 the session took place under the chairmanship of President Ilham Aliyev, which considered expedient to install the pipeline. The relevant order was issued to draw the feasibility study by CES Consulting Engineers.
