Russian Maritime Register of Shipping will hold 9th International Seminar Substandard Navigation Problems and Ways out of Their Solution. International Code on Safe Vessels Operation and Prevention of Pollution: Lessons and Future on October 5-6, 2006, Azerbaijan`s Sea Administration told Trend today.
Namig Agamaliyev, Deputy Chief of the Administration, as well as representatives of the Baku International Sea Trade Port and other organizations are expected to take part at the forthcoming arrangement.
International Seminars Substandard Navigation Problems and Way outs of Their Solution via Cooperation has been a forum since 1998 where representatives of the international sea community traditionally discuss the most urgent issues on navigation security.
During the forthcoming meeting, a thorough analysis of the experience on applying the International Code on Safe Vessels Operation and Prevention of Pollution, the appraisal of efficiency and a degree of influence of this instrument on increase of navigation security and environment protection. The International ode was adopted by the International Shipping Organization in 1993. The Code`s putting into force became the important event for the entire sea community and required the decision of a number of tasks.
