The Chief of Public Relations Department of Baku Central Road Police Department, Vagif Asadov, informed Trend that in January 2007 the law-enforcement bodies have noted more than 30,000 facts of violation the traffic rules in Baku city. In January, 99 road-transport incidents took place and 30 people perished, 126 wounded. The number of the road-transport incidents have decreased by 11 facts as comprised to the same period of 2006. The police has discovered 558 drunk drivers, 1,000 cases of speeding, 485 pre-crash situations, 53 cases of not obeying law-enforcement bodies, 1,132 facts of passing the red light and 28 facts of absence of the state numbers.
