Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr V. Mammadov / Jamal Mammadov, the director of the Avant-Guard Inshaat construction company, reported on 12 April that the company had begun the construction of a new AZM 5mln rest-house for foreigners in the village of Uchbulag in the Khanlar region.
According to Mammadov, on five hectares, he is building twelve small houses, a restaurant, a two-storey hotel, as well as playgrounds.
"The major point is that foreign tourists will be able to ski. Uchbulag is covered with snow 6-7 months out of the year," Mr. Mammadov said.
The rest-house will be operating by Summer, 2008.
