Azerbaijani Deputy Minister Beware of Damage on Economic Development while Entering WTO

Kazakhstan, Astana / corr Trend K.Konirova / Mahmoud Mammadguliyev, the Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister, stated in Astana on 265 April that whilst entering the World Trade Organization (WTO), Azerbaijan needs to achieve favorable terms so as not to violate the rivalry in the country.

Mammadguliyev, who is also head of the negotiations group on Azerbaijan's entrance at the WTO, stated that the government does not want to see any damage to the economic development whilst entering the WTO.

Azerbaijan concluded talks with several countries on the entrance to the WTO. "Some countries have agreed with our proposals. The meetings will be held in Geneva in June," he stressed.

WTO was founded in 1995 and unites 148 countries, as well as 30 observing countries, including Azerbaijan since 1997.

Talks should be conducted with many countries, South Korea has recently emerged with an initiative to organize consultations on this issue in the near future," he noted.
