Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend I.Khalilova / The "Baku Stock Exchange" CJSC (BSE) jointly with "Transparency Azerbaijan" is continuing the campaign "Legal consultancy for shareholders and investors" within the framework of the project "Corporate governance as a challenge to Azeri business", the BSE reports. The campaign is carried out with the support of the State Committee for Securities under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the UK embassy and the Global Opportunities Foundation. The purpose of the campaign is to provide legal consultation to entrepreneurs and representatives of numerous joint-stock companies working in Azerbaijan. The first workshop for the project was conducted in the cities of Baku, then Ganja.
According to the decision of the organizers, another similar workshop within the project was conducted in Guba on 8 June 2007.
During the workshop Kamran Babayev, the Chief of the Legal Department of the State Committee for Securities under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Vugar Namazov, the head of the Trading Department of the BSE, and Chingiz M. Asadov, the project coordinator made speeches and answered participants' questions.
