Azerbaijan, Baku, 5 April / Trend / In the first quarter of 2008, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) drilled a total of 54,928m, which exceeded the forecasts by 5,383m and is by 7,509 more than in 2007. In March 2008, the drilling comprised 19,823m.
In January-March, production drilling totalled 53,112m, by 5,027m more than had been forecasted and by 7,684m more than in 2007. In March 2008, production drilling totalled 19,339m.
Exploration drilling amounted to 1,816m, by 356m more than had been forecasted and by 175m less than in 2007. In March 2008, exploration drilling comprised 484m.
