Azerbaijan, Baku, 11 November / Trend I.Alizade / The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) delivered to Georgia about 280mln cu m of gas in 2008," Alikhan Malikov, the head of Azerigaz CJSC ( which transports the gas), said.
SOCAR exports about 1.3-1.5mln cu m of gas to Georgia per day.
SOCAR possesses own gas, which is produced from developed by the company.
In 2007, gas delivery to Georgia totalled about 1.2-1.3mln cu m per day at the price of $120 for 1,000 cu m. The cost of the crude which was sold in 2008 is not divulged, however, it is known that it has increased dramatically as compared to last year.
The cost of the gas supplied from Azerbaijan to Georgia is expected to increase again in 2009.
