About 750,395 meters were drilled in Kazakhstan in January-May 2011 compared to about 750,395 meters during the same period of last year, the Central Dispatching Department of the Kazakh Statistics Agency told Trend.
The total volume of drilling operations was fulfilled by 98.2 percent in May 2011. About 178,973 meters were drilled compared to 161,930 meters drilled in May 2010. It was planned to drill 185,128 meters.
The volume of exploratory drilling was fulfilled by 83.3 percent in May 2011. About 29,479 meters were drilled. It was planned to drill 33,371 meters.
