The "Turkmengaz" State Concern's subdivision increased liquefied gas production to 124,500 tons compared to planned 118,300 tons from early 2011, the company said on Tuesday.

Some 75,700 tons of gas condensate was produced, which is 9,400 tons more than the planned volume. High production rates are due to the use of complex equipment for gas processing on two fields: Nayip and Bagadj in Lebap Province.

The main part of produced products accounts for Nayip industrial unit, consisting of four installations for getting liquefied natural gas.

In the near future output of the Bagadj complex, which is under construction, will significantly increase. In parallel with the existing installation, construction of the installation with a capacity of one billion cubic meters of gas per year is nearing completion.

Canadian company "Thermo Design Engineering" is also engaged in the implementation of the project. Desulfurization process has been improved in the installations, which will allow saving money and simplify control.

New operation wells are drilled to ensure the new processing plant with the necessary amount of raw hydrocarbons in Bagadj. In general, it is estimated that the field is large.
"Construction of a large complex, which is the second after Naip, on the Bagadj field, confirms that in addition to production Turkmenistan becomes the biggest processor of its main national wealth - natural gas, increasing export potential," the report says.
