New chairman appointed to Turkmenkhimia State Concern

Meret Balakayev has been appointed as Chairman of the Turkmenkhimia State Concern, an official Turkmen source said.

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov signed the corresponding decree. By another decree, the former head of the State Concern Myratgeldy Kurayev has been dismissed from his post "for serious shortcomings in his work, and because his failure to cope with his duties".

As Turkmen media outlets reported on Saturday, a report of the Supreme Control Chamber on the results of audit of the State Concern's activities was presented at a government meeting yesterday.

The Turkmen leader instructed the curators of the industry to analyze the situation in the State Concern and take appropriate measures to eliminate shortcomings as soon as possible.

The State Concern has nine manufacturing enterprises, enterprise on rendering services in sale of mineral fertilizers to consumers (Dokunkhimia) and industry research institute.
