Gas transit through Kazakhstan increases in first half of 2012

Gas transit through Kazakhstan amounted to 39.605 billion cubic meters in January-June, 2012 compared to 39.238 billion cubic meters during the same period of 2011, the Central Dispatching Department of the Kazakh Statistics Agency told Trend.

In June, 2012 gas transit through the country was carried out to the amount of 6.966 billion cubic meters compared to 6.927 billion in May and 7.095 billion cubic meters in June, 2011.

Some 5.448 billion cubic meters of the total volume of gas transit through Kazakhstan in January-June, 2012 accounted for Central Asian gas compared to 8.062 billion cubic meters during the same period of 2011.

In June, 2012 the Central Asian gas was transported through the country to the amount of 0.904 billion cubic meters compared to 0.907 billion in June, 2011.
