French Development Agency supporting energy reforms in Georgia

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 22

French Development Agency will allocate 190 million euros to Georgia to contain the spread of the coronavirus and support energy reforms in the country, Trend reports referring to Finance Ministry of Georgia.

As reported, 70 million euros will be provided for the fight against COVID-19, and 120 million euros will be offered for energy reforms in Georgia.

Georgian Ministry of Finance and French Development Agency signed a corresponding agreement on May 22.

According to ministry, these funds will be directed to the country's state budget.

The agreement signed within wider financial support the Georgian government has received from partner international donor organizations to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and restore the country's economy.
