BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 10
By Jeila Aliyeva - Trend:
Turkmenistan has exceeded expectations of oil and gas condensate production from January through Septemer 2020, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.
This was reported during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan held via videoconference.
The estimates of oil and gas condensate production were exceeded by 1.7 percent, oil refining – by 2.6 percent, gasoline production – by 6.8 percent, diesel fuel production – by 6.9 percent, kerosene production – 0.3, and liquefied gas - 23.6 percent.
Practical steps should be taken to attract investment to the industry, develop deposits in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea, increase the volume of processing of raw materials and expand the corresponding production infrastructure through the construction of new plants.
The construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India transnational gas pipeline should be accelerated in order to diversify domestic energy exports, the report says.
Turkmenistan also exceeded expectations of oil and gas condensate production from January through August 2020.
