Azerbaijan produced 33.7 billion cubic meters of gas over the first 11 months of 2020, which is 4.7 percent or 1.5 billion cubic meters more compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to the country’s Ministry of Energy.
According to the ministry, 10.7 billion cubic meters of gas of the total volume were produced from the Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Gunashli (ACG) field, 16.3 billion cubic meters from Shah Daniz field.
At the same time, 6.7 billion cubic meters of gas were produced by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) during this period, the report said.
During this period, the volume of gas exports amounted to 12 billion cubic meters, which is 14 percent more than in the same period of last year.
The export of gas from Azerbaijan to Turkey grew by 21.1 percent year on year, amounting to 10 billion cubic meters.
Meanwhile, exports of Azerbaijani gas to Georgia amounted to 2 billion cubic meters.
Over the mentioned period, 4.2 billion cubic meters of Azerbaijani gas were supplied to Turkey via TANAP.
From June 30, 2018 to December 1, 2020, about 8 billion cubic meters of gas were supplied to Turkey via TANAP.
In the third quarter of this year, SOCAR carried out drilling operations with a total depth of over 11,000 meters.
At the same time, SOCAR processed about 1.3 million tons of oil, over 827 million cubic meters of natural gas.
