Italy decreases import of petroleum oils from Kazakhstan amid COVID-19

Kazakhstan has exported 77,402 tons of crude petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 20.4 million euros to Italy in November 2020, a Eurostat official told Trend.

In turn, Kazakhstan exported 3.3 million tons of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals worth 985.4 million euros to Italy from Jan. through Nov. 2020.

Thus, the November volume of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals from Kazakhstan to Italy is 33.7 percent less than in volume compared to October 2020 (116,806 tons) and is 85.8 percent less than in Jan. 2020 (545,218 tons).

November’s export value is also 30.1 percent less than in October 2020 (29.2 million euros) and is 91.8 percent less than in Jan. 2020 (250.8 million euros).

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and İtaly amounted to $6.8 billion over the first 11 months of 2020, compared to $9.06 billion during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to İtaly amounted to $6.06 billion over the period from January through Nov. 2020, compared to $7.5 billion during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from İtaly amounted to nearly $817.8 million over the reporting period, compared to $1.5 billion during the same period of 2019.
