BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb. 20

By Elnur Baghishov – Trend:

The value of Iran's revenues from exports of crude oil, gas condensate and gas amounted to 67.5 trillion rials (about $1.6 billion) during the first nine months of the current year (from March 20 through December 20, 2020), Trend reports citing the statistics of the Islamic Parliament Research Center (IPRC).

According to the statistics, however, the value of exports of oil, gas condensate and gas in Iran was planned to be 569 trillion rials (about $13.5 billion) in Iran's budget for the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2020, to March 20, 2021).

"So, 15.8 percent of the budget forecast was fulfilled for 9 months. In other words, Iran earned 7.4 trillion rials (about $176 million) a month from oil and gas condensate exports," the statistics said.

The Iranian Oil Ministry does not release information on oil and gas condensate production and exports, citing US sanctions against Iran. Although the Iranian Oil Ministry acknowledged the decline in oil and gas condensate exports, it did not disclose its volume and value.

The US imposed new sanctions on Iran in November 2018. Over the past period, the sanctions affected Iranian oil exports, more than 700 banks, companies, and individuals.
