Iran to launch several water and electricity facilities

Five water and electricity facilities will be put into operation in Iran's Khuzestan, Sistan and Baluchestan and Mazandaran provinces and a number of villages will be supplied with water today on Apr. 13, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Energy of Iran.

According to the report, a total of 5.14 trillion rials (about $ 122 million) was spent on these facilities.

“So, the first part of the 132/33-kilovolt substation and 2 units of 132-kilovolt substations will be put into operation in Khuzestan Province,” the report said.

In addition, the 4th unit of the Zahedan water desalination facility in Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan Province will be commissioned and 20 villages with a population of more than 5,000 will be supplied with water, the report said.

According to the report, a dam with a capacity of 1 million cubic meters of water will be put into operation in Iran's Mazandaran Province.
