Azerbaijan reveals 1Q2021 gas production indicators from ACG, Shah Deniz fields

Azerbaijan produced 10.4 billion cubic meters of gas in the first quarter of 2021, which is 4 percent more compared to the same period of 2020, Trend reports citing the report of the country’s Ministry of Energy.

As reported, of the total gas production volume, 3.4 billion cubic meters fell on Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Gunashli (ACG) field, and 5.1 billion cubic meters - Shah Deniz.

According to the Energy Ministry, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced 1.9 billion cubic meters of gas during the reporting period.

The ACG and Shah Deniz fields play an important role in the development of the oil and gas industry of Azerbaijan.

Since the commissioning of the ACG and Shah Deniz fields, 320 billion cubic meters of gas have been produced as of April 1, 2021, of which 180 billion cubic meters fell on ACG, and 140 billion – on Shah Deniz.
