The volume of natural gas export from Azerbaijan to Georgia in the first four months of 2021 totaled over 1.7 billion cubic meters, Trend reports referring to the report of the State Customs Committee (SCC).
According to the SCC, the value of Azerbaijani gas export to Georgia over the reporting period made up $227.4 million.
From January through April of this year, Azerbaijan has exported more than 7.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas, which is 79.5 percent more compared to the same period of last year. The value of exported natural gas exceeded $1.1 billion.
Georgia's share in the export of Azerbaijani gas in the specified period amounted to 22 percent.
In 2020, Azerbaijan exported more than 12.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas, which is 0.8 percent less compared to 2019. Besides, the value of exported natural gas was about $2.19 billion, an increase of 7.2 percent compared to 2019.
The trade turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan in 2020 exceeded $536.2 million.
