Azerbaijan’s liquids supply to rise amid Shah Deniz developments – OPEC

For 2021, year-on-year growth of 0.06 million barrels per day is anticipated in Azerbaijan, amid developments of the Shah Deniz field, Trend reports with reference to OPEC.

The cartel notes that liquids supply in Azerbaijan in 2020 declined year-on-year by 0.06 million barrels per day to average 0.73 million barrels per day.

“Azerbaijan’s liquids supply in April was slightly up month-on-month by 0.01 mb/d to 0.77 mb/d. It is expected to have seen further expansion of another 10 tb/d m-o-m in May. If so, the 2Q21 will see growth by 0.01 mb/d q-o-q to average 0.78 mb/d. Condensate and NGLs output from gas-condensate offshore fields is forecast to have remained flat at 0.18 mb/d in April and May,” reads the latest OPEC report.

The daily oil production (with condensate) in Azerbaijan amounted to 674,000 barrels in May 2021, according to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy.

Around 586,000 barrels of this volume accounted for crude oil while 88,000 barrels for condensate.

The average daily production of crude oil in Azerbaijan will be maintained at 603,000 barrels in May, 610,000 barrels in June and 620,000 barrels in July in accordance with the latest OPEC+ decision.
