BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 29. Tengizchevroil (TCO), which operates the Tengiz oil and gas field in Kazakhstan will adjust its production plan due to the repair works at Caspian Pipeline Consortium’s (CPC) marine terminal, the company official told Trend.

Earlier this month it was reported that an accident took place at the dock of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC). Following that the company announced it will be holding unscheduled repair works, which as a result could lead to a decrease in crude oil transport.

“Due to unscheduled repair works at the Caspian Pipeline Consortium’s (CPC) marine terminal, Tengizchevroil (TCO) is adjusting its production accordingly and is currently exporting its crude oil in line with what has been allocated by CPC,” the company said.

Earlier, Kazakh Energy Minister Bulat Aqchulaqov noted Kazakhstan is looking for alternative routes for the supply of raw materials.

“We are also working and looking for alternatives so that, in case of such unplanned events that are currently taking place at CPC, we can have an uninterrupted supply of our energy carriers, and, first of all, to the European market,” the minister noted.
