TEHRAN, Iran, May 16. The Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC) is developing South Pars Oil Layer Phase 2 to increase production by 10,000 barrels per day, said the CEO of the IOEC Mohammad Reza Zahiri, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"The IOEC has signed a contract with a foreign company to develop South Pars Oil Layer Phase 2 and increase production," he said at the 26th edition of Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining & Petrochemical Exhibition.
He pointed out that the company supports universities and knowledge-based companies to collaborate in the production.
According to the official, the company will also resume the development of the Forouzan oil field after completing the platform changes.
