ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 23. Azerbaijan imported 21,733 tons of RON-92 gasoline from Turkmenistan from January through August 2023, Trend reports.
The State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan reports that the cost of importing gasoline of this brand from Turkmenistan in the specified period exceeded $19.56 million, which is 2.5 times less than in the first 8 months of 2022.
Azerbaijan imported more than 42,831 tons of RON-92 gasoline from Turkmenistan, for a total amount exceeding 49.59 million, during the period from January through August of the previous year.
Overall, Azerbaijan imported more than 58,624 tons of RON-92 gasoline from abroad this year, for a total amount exceeding $54.14 million.
Meanwhile, the volume of trade volume between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan from January through August 2023 increased 2.2 times compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, reaching $678.37 million compared to the previous $305.58 million.
