BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 14. Azerbaijan increased gas exports abroad by four percent from January through September 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov wrote on his X page, Trend reports.
He said that 9.4 billion cubic meters (bcm) of the export accounted for Europe versus 8.6 bcm in the first nine months of last year.
The gas export volume to Georgia amounted to 1.7 bcm.
Türkiye obtained 7.3 billion cubic meters of Azerbaijani gas from January through September 2024, which is 200 million cubic meters less year-on-year.
At the same time, of the indicated volume, 4.2 bcm was transported via TANAP (against 4.3 bcm during nine months of 2023).
To note, Türkiye and Georgia have been receiving gas from Azerbaijan since 2007, and Europe since December 2020.
