Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr S. Aliyev / The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) intends to increase by the end of the year the capacity of gas-compressor station No. 2 located at the shallow part of Guneshli field from 3.6mln cu m per 24 hours to 11mln cu m, according to SOCAR.
The station was constructed in 1994 by US company Pennzoil for the delivery of casing-head gas to the shore. At the time of construction its capacity was 4.2mln cu m of gas per 24 hours. In 2006, at the expense of SOCAR, its capacity was increased to 7.4mln cu m of gas per 24 hours.
At present the development of project documents to increase the capacity of the station is in progress.
