Azerbaijan exported goods worth nearly $3.25 billion in January-February 2020, which is 3.1 percent more compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to data from Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee.
Within the month, the volume of exports increased by 1.5 times, and the annual growth rate returned to the norm of 2019.
The share of the public sector in the exports amounted to $1.8 billion, which makes up about 55.6 percent of the total export volume. The export share of the private sector is $1.44 million, or 44.3 percent, of the total export volume. Individuals accounted for the remaining $5.1 million.
In total, Azerbaijan exported 1,581 and imported 5,780 types of goods, conducting foreign trade operations with 144 partner countries. The main export of Azerbaijan in January-February 2020 accounted for oil and oil products, electricity, fruits and vegetables, as well as chemical products.
