The Khorasan Steel Company's capital in Razavi Khorasan Province (northeastern Iran) has increased by 4.5 trillion rials (about $107 million), CEO of the Khorasan Steel Company Kasra Ghafouri said, Trend reports citing the company’s official website.
According to Ghafouri, the company's capital has increased from 9 trillion rials (about $214 million) to 13.5 trillion rials (about $321 million).
The CEO added that the company's revenues increased by 79 percent to 7.61 trillion rials (about $181 million) in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020).
Ghafouri said that it is planned to produce 2.2 million tons of iron ore concentrate and 500,000 tons of iron ore pellets in the company's plants plan in the current Iranian year (began March 20, 2020).
Khorasan Steel Company sold 434,000 tons of final products in local markets last year and exported 186,000 tons. In addition, the company sold 328,000 tons of semi-manufactured products in local markets and exported 328,000 tons," he said.
In total, plants of the Iran’s Khorasan Steel Company annually produce 600,000 tons of steel sheets, 1.4 million tons of steel products, 1.6 million tons of sponge iron and 2.5 million tons of pellets. The company currently employs 5,000 people.
