GPI Holding is still the leader in the Georgian insurance market, Trend reports via the Insurance Supervision Service of Georgia.
In 6 months of 2020, the company has the largest share in the insurance market - 20.62 percent. GPI Holding is the leader in the number of attracted premiums, during the specified period the company attracted 74.08 million laris ($23.8 million), which is 36 percent more than the same indicator for the previous year.
GPI Holding is the undisputed leader in health insurance and is far ahead of competing insurance companies. For 6 months of 2020, the company's premium in the field of health insurance amounted to 48.20 million laris ($15.5 million).
GPI Holding has been present in the Georgian insurance market for 19 years and has consistently held leading positions. Since 2006 he has been a member of the Vienna Insurance Group, one of the largest in Europe.
As reported, in the first 6 months of 2020, despite the pandemic, the insurance market in Georgia grew by 9 percent compared to the same period last year.
The largest market share (48 percent) is still occupied by the direction of health insurance, the total sales of health insurance amounted to 138.53 billion laris ($44.6 billion).
