The total liabilities of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) in 2020 grew by 19 percent compared to 2019, Trend reports referring to the bank's financial report.
In value terms, the liabilities increased by 3.82 billion manat ($2.2 billion) to 23.86 billion manat ($14 billion).
The biggest share (49.6 percent) in the structure of liabilities accounted for cash in circulation, which rose by 13.8 percent for the year and amounted to 11.84 billion manat ($6.96 billion).
The liabilities to the credit organizations grew by 17.8 percent for the year, reaching 3.2 billion manat ($1.8 billion), while 11.4 percent of the liabilities fell on resident banks’ deposits in the amount of 2.7 billion manat ($1.6 billion).
Liabilities on operations with the International Monetary Fund made up nearly 378.5 million manat ($222.6 million, increase of 4.3 percent on annual basis).
Other liabilities decreased to 1.78 million manat ($1.05 million), which is drop of 28 percent over the year.
The total capital of the Central Bank in 2020 decreased by 37 percent and amounted to 1.62 billion manat ($950 million), and capital reserves amounted to 527 million manat ($310 million), remaining unchanged over the year.
