BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 12. Apple Pay has been introduced by Azerpost, the leading provider of postal services in Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
As per LLC, Apple Pay is now available for Azerpost cardholders to make secure and contactless payments in a variety of locations, including pharmacies, stores, cafés, restaurants, and taxis.
To note, Visa's senior director, regional manager of Visa in Azerbaijan Nurlan Hajiyev told Trend in an interview that Visa is actively working on expanding the list of Azerbaijani banks connected to Apple Pay and Google Pay.
The senior director of Visa also reminded that currently, 14 Azerbaijani banks are connected to Apple Pay and have passed the relevant certification, and 15 are connected to Google Pay.
