Alcatel-Lucent has appointed Levent Ozbilgin Country Manager for Azerbaijan, the company reported.
Ozbilgin has a bachelor's degree from the Istanbul Technical University and a master's degree in Business Administration from the George Washington University.
Earlier Ozbilgin served as Alcatel-Lucent Customer Service Director. Before, he worked at the Atos Origin Company, where he was responsible for business development Vodafone Turkey.
Since 2004, he was deputy CEO of Telenity. Ozbilgin also served as a manager responsible for the development of profitability and prevent fraud in the SOTAS Company (Subex).
Key partners and customers of Alcatel in Azerbaijan are production associations Aztelekom and Baku Telephone Communications, as well as Delta Telecom. Delta Telecom and Alcatel-Lucent signed expanded framework agreement in February 2010 for the modernization and expansion of the optical transport network across the country on the basis of technology Zero Touch Photonics and GMPLS.
