ZTE Corporation, a Chinese multinational telecommunications equipment and systems company, doesn’t intend to resume activity of its representative office in Azerbaijan, ZTE Vice President Yang Jun told Trend Nov. 23.
He said the interests of ZTE in the Azerbaijani market will be represented exclusively by the company’s partners.
In line with the changes in ZTE’s overall management strategy, the company believes that it will continue cooperation with Azerbaijan through its local partner in the country, he noted.
Even if there is necessity to open a local office in the future, the company will not take this step, but will provide the necessary support to its partner, he added.
Yang Jun said this is ZTE’s new approach, which will allow the company to focus on developing new products and innovations and develop local business exclusively through local partners.
In the first half of this year, ZTE closed its Azerbaijan office, which was operating since 2005.
