Baku, Azerbaijan, May 7

The Information and computer center under the Ministry of transport, communications and high technologies of Azerbaijan has presented its own solution of mobile electronic signature, Marketing Director Jeyhun Mammadov told reporters May 7.
He noted that the project is implemented in cooperation with Azerbaijan's Kapital Bank.
"Starting from today, customers of the bank will be able to become owners of mobile e-signature in the shortest time. The project will play an important role in the development of mobile banking in the country," Mammadov said.
The advantage of the project is the optimization of the Bank's services offered to clients and simplification of the current procedures. In addition, the certification of documents in electronic form will allow the bank to reduce the use of paper. Archiving of documents will be carried out automatically after they are certified by e-signature.
The fact that the processing customer requests will be accelerated, and the possibilities of digital banking will be expanded will also be an important aspect for the bank.
Customers can obtain the certificate of the mobile e-signature by applying to the branches of Kapital Bank. After the certificate is issued, the mobile number specified by the client will receive an SMS message with a PIN code, which it will be able to use for the next three years. An important component of the mobile e-signature certificate is that it is not bound to operators’ SIM-cards.
